Since my last post...

Well I've been keeping track of (some) things I wanted to make sure to put in BLOG post. Here's what was written in my phone: Hopefully I'll remember what they mean...


Bleepbleep = open it This is what Claire says when she wants you to open something, it sounds like "Bleep, Bleep, Bleep, Bleep" Over and over til its done. Louder and louder til you do it.
Dana = That's what Cliare calls Nicholas, no one is sure why..if you say, "Say Nicholas, she says "Dana", it's pronounced, "Dan-a" Like the boys name Dan and then a short A sound.

Pen behind ear= bumpa do that, Nick put a pen behind his ear when he was about 3 years old and we said, what are you doing and he said, "Bumpa do that mommy, people do that." Who knew!!?

Nick reading stuff: Claire can't, nick tummy hurts
Nick will point to writting on a package and tell you what it says, like "this is for Nicholas and not for Claire", or "Nick can't eat this, his tummy hurts." He's usually pointing to the ingredient list.

Claire=social butterfly, Enough said. :O) She says Hi to EVERYONE!! She's very much likes attention and likes people to watch her do stuff. When we had her dedicated at church she seemed shy at first but when we got on stage she was doing huge waves to the audience and then the Pastor help her and she was hugging him and patting his face!

Not working anymore need batteries: This is what Nick says about everything, even his dead fish. :O( He was so precious when they died, first he wanted to give him batteries then he kept saying, "awww poor guy, poor guy." He was sooo sympathetic for them.

Claire hug kiss campbell: My friend from work Korby's daughter's name is Campbell and Claire loves her. She will hug and hug and hug her and give lots of kisses too! She gets so excited when she sees a friend!

No touch a baby. Uh, Claire got really sick with a Kidney infection and we didn't know what was wrong but we knew she was sick, she had a fever and felt awful. Nick came over and was trying to play with her and she said, "NO touch baby, and then motioned like she was going to hit him and said, Uh" Very unlike her and although we were stressed at the moment it was pretty funny.

Pick shoes hat, Claire loves to pick out her own shoes, and she loves to wear hats. At just over 1 year old she would pick out which shoes she wanted to wear and she'd say, "Ha Ha" for Hat. She already way more into fashion then Nick! :O)


It's currently summer, and off with the kiddos! We are doing lots of playdates, swimming, and beach (mostly the bay) days. Nick and Claire play and fight together but they miss each other if the other isn't around. Nick did a few days at a few different VBSs one up in Alpine and one at his cousin Jamie's church. Nick loves his cousins! His favs are Alex and Jamie, but he loves them all! Cliare's potty training, but most days she thinks it's more fun to pee on the floor or outside! Nick will hopefully start preschool again in the fall! Daddy is working hard at USD as a computer programmer and I just left my job teaching at the Elementary Level to teach at Cathedral Catholic High School to teach sign language!

Easter

Today was Easter Sunday and we had a great day! Uncle Hugo, Aunt Angie and Alex and Adrian were here and spent the night. Nick, you and Alex are still best friends and Adrian tries to join in and have a ball too. Claire, you don't hang too far in the back either. We went to church early and Nicholas made a sign that said "Welcome Back!" to welcome back Jesus after he died on the cross. We had an egg hunt at the Garcia House, Nick last year you weren't into at all and this year you were ALITTLE more into it. :O) It happened during nap time so that didn't help. You weren't very fast and you weren't sure what to think but in the end you had several eggs. Your favorite eggs were the ones that were shaped like cars, and of course you liked the candy. Claire you weren't sure what to think, you got 2 eggs and just played with them. However after everyone collected the eggs Claire, you did go around and collect people's candy. You were so precious though no one seemed to mind. Nick you were very sweet and were happy to share with Claire and with anyone that asked. Lately you have very much into taking care of Claire and being sure that she gets her needs met, and you share with her whatever she asks for. It's pretty precious.

Preschool...or maybe not and the new daycare

Well Nick you started preschool, and it's been very interesting. You already are saying so much more than you were before you started. I am really excited for you and you seem to be enjoying it. We have gotten several comments from them about your behavior, like "won't share" and "hitting." Daddy and I have worked with you to improve your behavior and it seems to be helping. We like it there for you but aren't sure if we are going to keep you there. The teacher left and it's very expensive, so we are keeping our options open for you. Claire and Nick are going to a new home daycare with Monica and Irma and it's great. They are such kind people and seem to really love you both. I didn't think I'd be happy with anyone but Sofia but I really like these people. Claire is there all day while Nick goes to school but she gets to play with their little girl Arelle. The other exciting thing is that you guys have started actually playing together, talking to eachother and caring about each other. Nick looks out for you Claire when you are upset. He'll say things like, "Claire wants mommy" or "Claire wants agua." When you get what you want then Nick will say, "Are you happy Claire?" and "Want to play with me?" I love seeing that, it soooooo warms my heart! I love you both to pieces!!!!!

What's New?

What new with Nick?

Well since Sept Nick you've had a birthday. You turned the big 3!! Your bday was a Cars theme. We had lots of cars around the house and mom made you your own special car cake. You loved it and continued to crash cars into it all day. When it came time to eat it, you didn't care much about it and went back to playing. Grandma rented you a HUGE blow up slide for you and all your family and friends. It was a beautiful day and everyone had a BLAST! You got tons of toys, mostly cars and trucks, your favorite. So that was November, in December of course we had CHRISTMAS! It was a great, great, one. This was your first Christmas that you really "got it" and really enjoyed all of the festivities. Your big present from Santa was a train table. The other big thing that happened is your Great Aunt Karen and Great Uncle Jim from Florida came to visit you, they loved to see you guys enjoy Christmas. The big news now is that you are getting ready to start preschool. You are going to go to Language Academy Elementary and going to the French program. You will be learning French, this is something your dad has dreamed of you doing since you were born. We are all very excited for you to start preschool, this is a big step in your life and I am sure I'll cry. To get ready for preschool we had to teach to you pull up and down your pants and wipe your own bottom. And....your doing it! :O) Your first day will be Valentine's Day.

What New with Claire?
Since September you have had a birthday! You turned 1 and you aren't going to believe it you started walking ON YOUR FIRST BIRTHDAY!!! I was trying to get a picture of you sitting next to your friend Cambpell. You didn't want to sit down you wanted to be with me so you got up and walked to me and you have been walking and now running ever since. It was a seriously exciting moment, everyone at the party was gathered around and they call cheered!! You also had your first real Christmas. You really loved the tree and even pulled it over on top of you once! You were ok though thank goodness. Your big gift from Santa was a cradle for your baby and a stroller. You love your babies! Your favorite right now is your Glow worm that your Grandma and Grandpa gave you. You sleep with it every night. You are now sleeping in your own room and go to bed like a big girl without any screaming or crying! We are so proud!
